Established in 1963, the Southland Conference is an NCAA Division I athletic league with 14 member institutions in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma: Abilene Christian, Central Arkansas, Houston Baptist, UIW, Lamar, McNeese State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Southeastern Louisiana, Stephen F. Austin and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
